24m³ Walk in Bin

Is our 24m³ walk-in bin right for you?

Sometimes you need a large container sized bin to take care of a rubbish removal project. This is what the 24m³ is built for. This is not a bin that you will need very often, sometimes you might need to get rid of large amounts of waste, but you may be better of using a combination of smaller bins in line with weight limits to get rid of your rubbish. If you have a large amount of rubbish that isn’t overly heavy then this is the best bin for you. Like all our commercial bins this is a walk in bin, it’s especially convenient for a bin this size as it not only minimises heavy lifting but also allows your team to carefully stack the rubbish as they load the bin. Refer to the image above for the measurements of length, width, and height.

Why use Bin Hire Melbourne for 24m³ walk-in bin hire?

Bin Hire Melbourne has got you covered for your commercial clean up needs. We will always deliver the bins and pick them up at times we arrange. We accept orders involving swap overs with multiple bins. Our pricing is competitive and we provide discounted rates for 100% soil and concrete loads. However, a 100% concrete load is not ideal in a 24m³ bin due to the weight limits that apply to our vehicles being able to get back on the road. All your rubbish will be sorted out at our transfer stations to maximise our recycling efforts and help us provide you with the most cost-effective pricing.

Need more space then a 24m³ walk-in bin?

24m³ of volume to get rid of rubbish is not the best option for everyone. If you’ve measured your rubbish and think it’s too much, we’d like to make the following recommendations.

What size skip bin should you hire?

Choosing the right skip bin depends on two things; The amount of rubbish you need to get rid of, and the approximate weight of the rubbish.

How to determine based on size

Measure the length, width and height of your rubbish pile. If you multiply these numbers in a calculator you'll have a rough idea of the cubic meters you need to get rid of. You can also estimate your waste using the following rough guide:

  • 2m³ skip bin is roughly 12 Wheelie Bins or 3 Trailers
  • 4m³ skip bin is roughly 24 Wheelie Bins or 6 Trailers
  • 6m³ skip bin is roughly 36 Wheelie Bins or 9 Trailers
  • 8m³ skip bin is roughly 48 Wheelie Bins or 12 Trailers
  • 9m³ skip bin is roughly 54 Wheelie Bins or 14 Trailers
  • 10m³ skip bin is roughly 60 Wheelie Bins or 16 Trailers
  • 12m³ skip bin is roughly 72 Wheelie Bins or 18 Trailers
  • 16m³ skip bin is roughly 96 Wheelie Bins or 24 Trailers
  • 24m³ skip bin is roughly 144 Wheelie Bins or 36 Trailers

How to consider weight limits on skip bins

All waste has a different weight, for some heavier waste you'll need to split your load between multiple skip bins as our trucks have weight limits to safely transport it. Here's a rough guide:

  • General Waste
  • 2m³ to 24m³
  • Green Waste
  • 2m³ to 24m³
  • Soil and Dirt
  • 2m³ to 9m³
  • Mixed Heavy Waste
  • 2m³ to 9m³
